FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I do the program without taking supplements?

The short answer is “yes, but….” We recommend the anti-arthritis and gut-healing supplements that Dr. Blum outlines in her book because they will increase the healing power of the program, however, it is possible to follow the food plans and Learn to Relax exercises and be on your way to healing your arthritis — in fact this is a great place to start. You also have the option of adding supplements later, purchasing them on your own (our guidebook provides the information you need to do this) or purchasing them individually HERE.

I am very busy and worried about how much time this program will take.

Showing up for your coaching calls and changing the way you eat requires planning. We will make recommendations on stocking your pantry, refrigerator, and freezer with anti-arthritis foods.
Once finished, this makeover will allow for easy assembly of healthy meals and snacks in a short period of time. Following the Simply Arthritis food plan may actually save you time!

What if my symptoms get worse when i start the program?

Our program guide discusses what to do if you experience side effects, but keep in mind that these are usually minimal and pass in a few days. Also, you have your coach at your fingertips to guide you through any bumps in the road.

Do I need to do a special diet while doing the program or can I just take all the supplements?

Yes, we strongly recommend following the anti-arthritis food plan that is outlined in Healing Arthritis and the Simply Arthritis Group Coaching Program Guidebook. Not only will it help to relieve pain quickly, it will help you determine which foods are triggering your symptoms. And here is the most important part: the food you eat has the greatest influence on your gut health, and since healing the gut is central to healing your joints, changing your diet must be part of the program. But don’t worry, we make this very easy!

If I feel really good on the elimination diet do I have to add the other food back?

We recommend eliminating certain foods for a limited period of time at the beginning of the program. Sometimes people feel so much better after removing arthritis triggers from their diets, that they don’t want to change a thing! And you don’t have to. You are welcome to stay on this food program as long as you like, but please be mindful of any symptoms that you experience if/when you DO reintroduce one or more of the eliminated foods again. We give you these clear instructions in the Program Guidebook.

Can I do the program if I am pregnant?

The short answer is, yes, you can follow the food plan and practice the Learn to Relax exercises — in fact those would be good for you! However, we do not recommend the supplements until after you have finished nursing. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at info@blumhealthmd.com.

Once I choose my coaching time slot can I change it if my schedule changes?

We all have busy schedules and we will do what we can to accommodate you. Usually that is as easy as giving your coach 48 hours notice to set you up in a different call.
